Anyone who has spent time at East Mountain or heard testimonials can see the value of a space away from the chaos of everyday life for deep communal Christian learning and living. For eleven years, the Lord has been using East Mountain as this community and this instrument of transformation, but with rental agreements, our "space" has always been a struggle.
This year, the Lord has opened the door to purchase an amazing property that's being offered to us for $350,000, a price below market value, and at 0% interest over the next two years. We would like to raise the $350,000 in 2024 for the property and an additional $350,000 in 2025 to build and furnish a residency house. With this acquisition, we would no longer be burdened by rent, and would even have income and sustainability opportunities! The income from two rental houses on the property would be $23,000/year.
